Dear Bill,
I want to thank you and Matt for such a wonderful week at baseball camp for
Thomas. I especially appreciate the continued learning and
encouragement of good sportsmanship!
He had a great time and is
continuing to talk about "Coach Melvin" and "Coach Matt" even as we are here
in South Carolina at the beach.
I hope he will have the
opportunity to be at camp again next summer and to see you some before then.
Please extend my thanks and
appreciation to Matt. He is a great role model.
Sincerely,
Barbara Pendergrast

Dear Coach Bill & the
Coaching Staff,
I want to thank you for the
terrific job you all do with your baseball camp -- not only with developing
the kids' baseball skills but especially teaching them life skills. It
is challenging being a parent and you start to feel like a broken record
repeating the importance of a good education and good study habits. I
have enjoyed the end-of-day talks and the recaps I get from Trent about the
challenges -- smoking, stealing, etc. that Coach Bill faced as a youngster.
The kids really listen to you all!
Thank you for all you do!

!GREAT JOB!

Dear Bill,
I did not want to let the moment pass without thanking you and Matt for the
terrific camp you ran at Medlock last week and for recognizing Morgan in a
way which neither he nor I will ever forget. As Matt was talking about
the actions that the honoree of the Sportsmanship Award had taken during the
week, I clearly remember that I hoped one day our children would behave in
such a way to earn that incredibly special recognition. You can
therefore imagine the thrill I felt when Matt named Morgan.
Notwithstanding that moment, I
can't thank you enough for the life lessons y'all talked about with these
guys and for the uplifting and excellent program you have. We hope to
see you again.
Sincerely,
Lyn Thompson
